A small community clean up will be undertaken around Heath estate on Thursday 24th September at 1pm.

The meeting point will be Heath village shop.

Covid-19 guidelines will be in place to ensure public safety.

Notice of vacancy in office of Councillor - Parish of Heath & Holmewood

Notice is hereby given

Pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council due to the resignation of Paul Oxborough.

As no request to call an election was received by the deadline, the Parish Council have been advised that they can co-opt to the vacancy.

Reminder - Parish owned play area closures

The Parish Council would like to remind local residents that Searston Avenue and Heath play areas remain closed.

The multi user facility and open spaces within the parish remain open for you to exercise in and will continue to be maintained by the parish council.

Further discussions on re-opening the play areas will take place at the Parish meeting due to be held on the 9th September.

St Albans to re open for worship

The parish council are pleased to advise that, as of Sunday, 2nd August 2020 St Albans will be re-opening for worship.

Social distancing measures will be in place, with strong encouragement to wear a face covering.

The 6.30pm service which is held at All Saints church will remain on zoom for the foreseeable future.

Public notice - parish owned play areas to remain closed

With Coronavirus (COVID-19) still affecting many areas of our service, members are keen to keep residents up to date with the latest information.

At the parish meeting held on 8th July 2020, members took the difficult decision that Searston Avenue and Heath play areas will remain closed until further notice.

Public notice - parish owned play areas

In the interest of public safety Searston Avenue and Heath play areas will remain closed until further notice.

Whilst the government stated outdoor playgrounds areas may open from 4th July we need to ensure the area is safe do so.

We are working to reopen the play areas as soon as possible.

Car parks at Derbyshire County Council countryside sites will re-open from Wednesday 13th May 2020

Shops, cafes and visitor centres, hire of all-terrain mobility scooters and bikes, play equipment and outdoor gym equipment at our countryside sites will all remain closed.

Toilets will not be re-opened, and there will be no ice cream vans or coffee concessions.
